Arrival in Tampa

Arrived in Tampa to see Nate in the arms of Robin…

It was a fun 1st day in Tampa, between seeing new members of the family, long overdue visit with family, not to mention the warm weather.

Hook and I went shopping to pick up some groceries to make the sweet potato chili from http://cookbook.tomassettivegancuisine.com . I made it for those who do not like spicy food, but I bought both Jalapenos and Serrano’s to kick it up for those of us who do like it SPICY!

Sweet potato chili (non-spicy version)

Along the way I found an unlikely top knives of 2019, the Rock’N’Chop! What? Yes, that right! Loved using this knife!

Drinks before dinner

Arrived 1st so I went to the bar to see what Whiskeys they had, and Whistle Pig stuck out! New tried it so I had to give it a try, at $20 for 2 fingers it was disappointing at best. To pretentious for this old man!

Dinner

Although I cannot remember the name of the restaurant we ate at, they had two types of meatball: 1. Real, 2. Incredible. We first tasted the incredible meatball as it came first to the table. Then when the real meatball showed up we had a blind taste off, and of course the real meatball won, but … Honestly, if you took the real meatball away and only had the incredible meatball, no one would have known it was not the real deal!

There was some debate as to whether that was good or bad, having a fake meatball that tasted like the real thing or not. Robin said that vegetarians would not want it to taste like a meatball, that the taste of meat to them was the reason they were vegetarians. I said I was a vegan not by choice but for my health, and loved meat, but chose not to eat it anymore for health reason. This is what makes the incredible meatball a good choice for me.

Then Hook mentioned it might not be as healthy as it could be, but then maybe it wouldn’t taste like a meatball…Hmmm.

Henry Stole the Show!

After dinner Henry woke up and stole the show! He and Grandpa Hook were too cute together, then Robin entertained us and Henry with a bit of a dance…Kailyn got it on film somewhere…So meet Henry and Family!
